Insider threat has been a seemingly unsolvable problem since the internet began. Even before we were as digitally interconnected as we are now, your employees will always be your largest risk… or your biggest help. The way things currently are, maintaining strong security means treating your own team with suspicion — as if every move they make needs to be second-guessed.

That didn't sit well with us because so much insider risk is accidental. If most employees aren't intentionally causing harm, why should we treat them as guilty by default?

The majority of organizations do not have "interviewing and hiring nation state threat actors" as a reasonable daily threat profile.
